Q: I was listening to your programme a few weeks ago when you were discussing cyclamen plants and the length they flower for.  I moved to my present home in 1997 and a friend gave me an indoor cyclamen. It has never been without flowers in all those years!! I have a feeling it may be losing the will to live now, as for the first time it has no buds, so looks like our time together may be coming to an end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any advice you can give please on preserving this plant. Thank you, May in Dorset.

A: Ken says never give up on a cyclamen.  Why not try letting it run exceptionally dry for a bit and then bring it back into life in a couple of months time being careful to water from the base and not from the top of the pot. Keep in a cool frost-free position.
