Hedingham Castle’s garden development

Hedingham Castle in 2021.

After a number of years of neglect the historic gardens created in the 1700s at Hedingham Castle have been restored.

Present owner, Demetra Lindsay told Ken Crowther how they have worked to redevelop the gardens, which had not been touched for nearly 60 years.

The 160-acre grounds of Hedingham Castle in Essex, include 110-acres of trees. The huge Liriodendron or tulip tree is one of the most impressive features.

Head gardener, Chris Wright gave Ken Crowther a tour to see some of the other delights to be found within the grounds.
