One of the finest gardens in the east of England it has easy access and is a family friendly place to take young children. The smooth hard paths and road up from the visitor centre and carpark make it ideal for people with a disability to get around and enjoy the experience of the garden.

There is always something to see at RHS Garden Hyde Hall and don’t think that there isn’t colour or interesting plants out during the colder months. The team of gardeners at the garden do an incredible job in keeping it looking magnificent.
A winter visit (2023)

Dry gardening (2021)
The dry garden at RHS Garden Hyde Hall has 400 species of plants used to living in areas of low rainfall including the Mediterranean, South Africa, South America, Australia and California.
Ken has been exploring the planting and design of this garden.
New winter garden (2016)
Work has been taking place at the RHS Garden Hyde Hall to transform the flat landscape into one that matches the surrounding landscape by introducing mounds.
The work has taken over 4 weeks and has involved moving 17,000 tonnes of soil. RHS garden manager, Andrew Lodge told Ken Crowther about some of the plants being put into the new winter garden section.
