Ken talks to Raymond Evison from Raymond Evison Clematis on Guernsey.
Raymond tells Ken that the business moved to the island in 1984 and has been breeding clematis successfully for the past 40 years due to the improved weather conditions on the island.
Raymond is personally responsible for growing 200 clematis cultivars. TV gardener, Carol Klein dropped by Raymond’s stand during this year’s show (pictured left).
This is the second year the company has grown and displayed peat-free clematis at the Chelsea Flower Show.
