Ken looks at pests like Spanish slug, aphids and rabbits

A Spanish slug on a wooden surface.

Ken Crowther talks about some of those pests that are around at this time of the year [May/June].

What pests have you encountered in the garden this year? Post a comment below and let others know what might be about >>>

In this piece Ken deals with the below:

*Slugs and snails on strawberries and dahlia tubers are a problem
*Spanish slug is a newer visitor to the UK
*Biological controls such as nematodes require warmer soils
*Aphids on brassicas and roses – bug guns or rose clear spray
*Rabbits – use Grazers G1 spray to get rid of rabbits as it is organic and very effective at preventing plant damage
*Cabbage root flies on cabbages and carrots – Ken says keep covered with fleece and netting
*Pigeons are a problem to get rid of and require netting to prevent them eating crops

Grazers G1 spray is available now and helps prevent damage from rabbits, pigeons and deer – click here to buy online.
