Q: I have blueberry bushes in square pots which this year has produced a large amount of sweet fruit, but they are growing rather straggly. Do i cut them back and if so when? Thanks
A: Tip back very tall growth by about a third. If they have too many branches and the air and light is not getting to the centre of the blueberry bush you can remove some old fruiting stems. This can be done now.
